I Heart Red Antenna

Posted in Uncategorized on May 22, 2008 by waveofpotential

I’ve been an admirer of Red Antenna for close to 10 years. I first met their (virtual) acquaintance posting music projects on the original, ill-fated, way ahead of it’s time by 2 years, MP3.com. What struck me was the interplay of their music and design aesthetic. The message that I took away was: all of these creative mediums are really just one discipline. You can solve color and hierarchy problems in music as much as you are required to do so in graphic design. There are usability issues to consider in a DJ set as much as there are in a website. So…

I quit my job and signed up for some of dem dere fancy deezign classes at the local college up there on El Cajon Blvd, in the tough part of town.

Come, step into the imagination of Red Antenna, get inspired, and take home a doggy bag of some excellent electronic music. (I’ve always been a fan of their Tomorrowland project) However, be warned: nary a floral, vector swirlie to be found on this domain, as these fine folks deal only in pure, original thought.
